Data and privacy

Privacy, with clear boundaries.

This notice explains what information we receive, why we use it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

Responsibility

Who is responsible

Movement Studies Academy is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. The Academy is based in the Netherlands and works with partner studios and educators internationally.

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@movementstudies.org. This notice applies to movementstudies.org and to enquiries submitted through the website.

Information

What we receive and why

When you use the enquiry form, we receive the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, city or country, relevant experience, enquiry, optional participation or access notes, and confirmation that the information may be used to respond.

Depending on the context, processing is based on your consent, steps requested before a possible agreement, or the Academy's legitimate interest in answering enquiries and operating a secure website. We do not sell personal information, use it for behavioural advertising, or make automated decisions about people.

Please do not submit medical, financial, identification, or other sensitive information through the form. Contact us first if an accessibility conversation requires more care or privacy.

  • To answer questions and manage programme or event enquiries.
  • To take steps you request before booking a lesson or joining an activity.
  • To maintain the security, availability, and integrity of the website.

Service providers

How the website is delivered

Form submissions are processed by FormSubmit and delivered by email to the Academy. FormSubmit provides spam protection, including reCAPTCHA, and states that form information is processed to provide its service.

Cloudflare provides hosting, network security, and protection against automated abuse. In doing so, it may process technical information such as IP addresses, traffic-routing data, browser information, and security signals.

These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards and terms described in their policies.

Retention and security

Kept only as long as needed

General enquiries are retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, then deleted when they are no longer needed. Information may be kept longer when an ongoing educational relationship, booking, dispute, or legal obligation makes this necessary.

The website uses encrypted connections, restricted form destinations, spam and bot protection, security headers, bounded form fields, and current software dependencies. The public form does not accept file uploads. No online service can promise absolute security, but we use proportionate measures and review them as the website develops.

Your rights

Access, correction, and choice

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, or object to its use. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

Send requests to info@movementstudies.org. We may need to confirm your identity before acting. You may also contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority if a privacy concern cannot be resolved with us.

Cookies and updates

No advertising or analytics cookies

The Academy does not currently use advertising cookies, audience profiling, or website analytics. Cloudflare may set a necessary security cookie to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. FormSubmit and reCAPTCHA operate on the provider's pages when an enquiry is submitted.

We will update this notice if the website begins using additional services or if our data practices change materially. The current revision date will always appear near the top of this page.
