Mia Segal

Teacher, collaborator, and formative transmission figure

Mia Segal carried Moshe Feldenkrais' work through decades of precise teaching and international study. This page gathers MSA's contextual research and a developing three-part interview archive.

Mia Segal / 1927-2024

A life devoted to learning through movement.

Mia Segal was Moshe Feldenkrais' first assistant, long-term collaborator, and first authorized practitioner. Her teaching became a formative point of transmission for generations studying attention, movement, and learning.

Movement Studies Academy approaches this legacy as a living field of study. We place recorded testimony alongside careful attribution, historical context, and the questions that continue to emerge through practice.
